If Trees Could Speak

I’ve hiked Bear Creek hundreds of times across the last 30 years, always looking for small, moving insects. But on a day like today, October 1st, at 60°, there wasn’t much stirring in the undergrowth. So I saw a few things I’ve never focused on before. And I thought, if trees could speak these old guys would have stories to tell about their difficult early years. I have to wonder.DSC04681.JPG
